Todd Wynne-Parry

The hospitality and travel industries and have been a part of Todd’s life for nearly five decades. He financed his way through school by working in restaurants, bars, hotels and resorts in Michigan, Scotland, and Arizona. After graduate school, he began his career as a hospitality consultant in the San Diego office of Laventhol & Horwath. He eventually went on to manage the Hong Kong office of Horwath Asia Pacific consulting throughout Asia. He then spent 25 years as a business development leader for major brands including Marriott, Starwood, and IHG in the Asia Pacific region and for Commune Hotels and Resorts and Two Roads Hospitality globally. In 2019, he was brought on to help AutoCamp grow their start-up Airstream based glamping brand. During this time, he grew enamored with the burgeoning outdoor hospitality sector of the lodging industry. Building upon his experience and belief in the growth potential of this sector, he formed Montare Hospitality Advisors to bring professional advisory services to this young and vibrant new form of accommodation. In 2022, Montare Hospitality Advisors became part of the Horwath HTL global hospitality consultancy group where Todd heads up the firm’s Outdoor Hospitality Advisory Services. Todd earned an International MBA from Thunderbird Graduate School of International Management and is a member of the International Society of Hospitality Consultants (ISHC). He sits on the advisory council of the American Glamping Association and consults to glamping site owners, brands, and investors. He is a regular contributing writer for the Glamping Business Americas magazine and has been featured in Hotel Management magazine and on industry podcasts including “No Vacancy” and “Glamping Americas”. He regularly appears for speaking engagements at international hospitality conferences and events including Americas Lodging Investment Summit (ALIS), the Caribbean Hotel & Resort Investment Summit (CHRIS), The Glamping Show Americas and the Eco Resort Network Summit. Based in Bend, Oregon, and Mill Valley California, , he enjoys fly fishing, woodworking, and glamping in his vintage 1953 Airstream flying cloud.
